1. In the beginning, God create the heavens and the earth.
→或作：When God began to create the heavens and the earth.

2. and the spirit of God hovered over the surface of the water.
→或作：a great wind swept
→又做：a wind from God swept.

◎ 注意這邊意義上的差異

3.God said, "Let there be a vault(拱頂) between the waters,
to separate water from water. "
So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault
from the water above it, and so it was;
and God call the vault heavens

◎ 於是這裡我們知道至少有兩個海的存在，天上海跟天下海，天堂橫於中間，呈拱狀。

另外一件事情是第一天創造光的過程，
光是從黑暗中分出來的，而一開始就被定義為是善。

第一天的情況比較特別，與其說是創造，不如說是一個命名的過程，
神從黑暗中分出了光，不如說神從黑暗中定義了光，
除此之外，也規定了光的性質也規定了光的性質。

不過我在這裡特別提到這個的用意是因為這讓我想到波斯一神教的傳說。

說時間之神在無垠的世界裡感到寂寞，於是她祈禱，請求世界給她一個孩子。
世界應予了。
懷孕的過程當中，時間開始感覺後悔，她想到她的懷孕是破壞了太初的平衡，
於是她的後悔使得她的胎兒成了原初的惡。

為了牽制這，世界將肚裡胎兒一分為二，
將善分出來，善惡成了雙胞胎。
他們原希望善先出生，作為哥哥牽制那惡，
但在分娩的時刻，惡推了善一把，因此搶先看到了夜晚的星光。
從此善惡不斷對抗。
